The Job
This role offers diverse responsibilities, including maintenance and upkeep of the communal areas of a prestigious development in Brighton, including, but not limited to:
Communal Cleaning Duties:
- Hoovering carpets and floors in communal areas
- Dusting and polishing furniture, fixtures, and surfaces
- Washing down walls, doors, and skirting boards
- Sweeping and mopping hard floors
- Replenish supplies e.g. toilet paper, soap, cleaning products etc.
- Ensure external communal areas are kept clean and tidy
Maintenance/Handyman Duties:
- Perform minor repairs such as fixing door handles, unblocking sinks, replacing light bulbs, etc.
- Carry out basic plumbing, painting, and decorating tasks.
- Monitor heating, lighting, and alarm systems.
- Ensure tools and equipment are kept in good working order.
- Conduct routine checks of the premises for damage, safety hazards, or maintenance needs.
Other responsibilities:
- Flick testing
- Alarm testing
- AOV testing
- Fault reporting
The ideal candidate:

- Shows initiative in identifying and addressing issues
- Is physically fit and able to carry out manual tasks
- Is available for Saturday work as and when required
What You Need
- Has a full, clean manual driving license (essential for the role)
- Basic knowledge of health & safety regulations
- Basic IT literacy skills
- First Aid Certification (desired)
- CSCS Card (desired)
- Previous caretaker/handyman experience (preferred)
Job Location: Brighton
Hours: 42.5 hours across Monday-Saturday
Salary: Competitive, with an annual review
Annual leave: 20 days plus bank holidays
