As we continue to grow, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Credit Controller to join our increasingly busy team at our Head Office in Southend-on-Sea, Essex.

The successful candidate can demonstrate excellent client communication skills, have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel, possess strong administrative skills, an ability to work to strict deadlines and handle a large and varied caseload. You will be used to working in a fast-paced and demanding environment. A high level of attention to detail will be required, as well as able to exercise confidentiality and discretion at all times and previous credit control experience is preferred.

This role includes, but is not limited to:

Recovering outstanding debts at properties within our portfolio
Liaising with Leaseholders on a daily basis to chase outstanding debts
Handle incoming Leaseholder account queries
Scanning and filing all documentation that passes through
Assist with legal and credit control administrative duties
Liaising with Service Charge debtors, mortgagees, the Court and FTT
Processing Letters Before Action
Raising and processing cheques
Diarising all litigation (Court and FTT) deadlines
Drafting Court documents, forms and issuing/lodging items at Court
Creating hearing bundles
Provide a breakdown debt report to the Legal Manager

As we continue to grow, an exciting opportunity has arisen to join our expanding Accounts Department as an Accounts Assistant at our Leigh-on-Sea office.

The Accounts Assistant will be involved in the day-to-day processing for a number of companies, including posting invoices, and preparing Bank Reconciliations.

They will be proficient in the use of Excel and must be comfortable with handling and organising large sets of data. They will report directly to the Head of Client Accounting on all matters. This candidate must be a positive, self-motivated team player who takes ownership of their work. Being a good listener and meticulous attention to the details is imperative whilst being well organised to manage a demanding workload.

Ideally, we are looking for candidates who are AAT qualified or working towards this qualification.

Your responsibilities will include:

Posting & reporting of daily receipts & cheques to our system
Investigation and management of any unmatched transactions
Raising of rent demands
Prompt and accurate preparation of monthly bank reconciliations
Liaising with other departments & external parties regarding income and expenditure
Completion of daily reversions tasks
Process tenant refunds and receipts
Assisting in reconciliation and closing of ceased properties
Daily reconciliation of client bank accounts to nominal ledger

Salary is negotiable, dependent on experience.

You would be responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the communal areas of residential properties in the Kent area, which means a full, clean driving license is essential.

Your gardening responsibilities would include grass cutting, hedge trimming, strimming, weed spraying, pruning and general tidying. Your communal cleaning duties would include hoovering, dusting, polishing, washing down surfaces and sweeping.

We want someone who takes pride in their consistently high standard of work. A proactive person by nature with an exceptional eye for the little details, the successful candidate will be reliable, conscientious and always looks to exceed a client’s expectations.
