Qualified Fire Door Inspector

As we continue to grow, we seek passionate and driven individuals to join our friendly team.

We are looking for a qualified Fire Door Inspector to cover our nationwide portfolio of properties, carrying out routine inspections of fire doors in flats and communal areas, ensuring they meet current UK fire and building safety regulations.

The Job

As a Fire Door Inspector, you will be responsible for ensuring fire doors across a variety of sites nationwide meet the highest safety standards. You will:

Conduct inspections

Perform thorough visual assessments of communal and private fire doors, door sets, frames, and associated hardware this includes verifying compliance, testing functionality and reviewing certification of the door.

Generate reports

Document all findings, non-compliance issues, and potential hazards in detailed reports, including photographic evidence and recommendations for corrective actions.

Communication

Liaise with the administration team to ensure customer appointments and targets are met.

What You Need

We are looking for someone who takes pride in maintaining consistently high standards of work. A naturally proactive individual with a keen eye for detail, the ideal candidate will be reliable, conscientious, and always strive to exceed client expectations.

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Confident working independently as well as part of a team
  • Willingness to regularly work at weekends when required
  • Willingness to travel and stay overnight when required
  • Professional, proactive, and friendly in approach
  • Committed to health & safety procedures
  • Physically fit and comfortable with manual tasks
  • Flexible – regular overnight stays will be required (expenses covered)
  • A full, clean manual driving licence is essential

Experience & Qualifications

  • Hold a Fire Door Inspection certification
  • Have at least 2 years’ experience within a similar role
  • Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, or carpentry repairs

Job Location: On the road
Hours: 42.5 hours per week, worked across five days within a seven-day period.
Salary: Competitive with an annual review
Annual leave: 20 days plus bank holidays
