Following the launch of Gateway United Football Club in March, our company team made a memorable debut at a business tournament held at the iconic London Stadium, home of West Ham United. The team, showcasing true Gateway spirit and determination, even enjoyed a special cameo from former Premier League star Paul Konchesky, adding a touch of professional flair to their inaugural campaign.

This was followed this up with another exciting challenge, this time practically on home turf. We participated in a charity football tournament called ‘World Cup-on-Sea’. Hosted at Southend United’s Roots Hall Stadium, this 32-team, 7-a-side competition proved to be a fantastic event, raising £32,000 for YMCA Southend!

The formation of Gateway United FC and its participation in these prestigious tournaments highlights the strong sense of community and camaraderie that thrives within Gateway. It is just one example of how Gateway goes beyond the typical workplace, fostering opportunities for employees to connect, collaborate, and represent the company in unique and engaging ways.
